Supplies You’ll Need
- Grapevine wreath (or make your own with twigs and branches)
- Stretchy fake spider web
- Plastic spiders (large and small for variety)
- Dried flowers or fake flowers (orange, brown, and golden tones works best for autumn fall vibes)
- Hot glue gun + glue sticks
- Scissors

Step-by-Step: How to Make a DIY Halloween Autumn Wreath
1. Start with the Base
Use a grapevine wreath as your base. If you don’t have one, you can easily DIY it with twigs or flexible branches. The rustic, bare look is perfect for Halloween! I managed to find my wreath at a second hand shop for $1. Such a steal, whenever I find wreath I always grab them.
2. Add Dried Flowers
Arrange dried flowers and grasses at the bottom of the wreath. Choose warm autumn shades, burnt orange, deep yellow, and brown, for a fall-inspired look. Once you’re happy, secure them with hot glue.
3. Stretch the Spider Web
Take your fake spider web and stretch it around the top half of your wreath. Make it thin for a more realistic effect. Tuck the ends into the twigs or secure with glue. I just tucked it in, as I plan to use the wreath with just the dried flowers inside my house as an all year round piece of décor.
4. Add the Spiders
Now for the creepy fun—spiders! Place a large spider crawling across the flowers, then scatter smaller ones across the web. Glue them in place or clip them if your spiders have built-in fasteners. If you have no fasteners and don’t want to use glue, you should be able to weave the spiders in and out of the webbing and wreaths vines.
5. Hang & Enjoy!
Once finished, hang your Halloween wreath on your front door or inside your home. Instant spooky vibes with a touch of elegance which I love.
