How to Make Simple Chocolate Chip Cookies

Simple Chocolate Chip Cookies? Yes Please! These cookies are quick to whip up, only needing 8-16 minutes in the oven to cook depending on how doughy you like it and how your oven works. Another great thing about these cookies is they don’t require fridge time before baking in the oven.

Simple Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preheat your oven to 180 Celcius now!


  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup White Sugar
  • 1 Cup Butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Essence
  • 3 Cups of Plain Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Chocolate chips! ( as many as you like, I did 1 and 1/2 Cup)


  1. Beat the brown sugar, white sugar, butter, and vanilla essence in a large mixing bowl. Beat until you notice a color change.
  2. Add the eggs and beat again, Beat until the mixture is more pale in color
  3. Add the flour, baking, soda, baking powder and salt
  4. Fold to combine
  5. Add the chocolate chips, and fold to combine again
  6. Place spoonfuls of the batter on a baking tray. I did about the size of an ice cream scoop and then pressed lightly down with a fork.
  7. Bake for 8-16 minutes, once you see cracks starting to form on the cookies, pull them out, they will be more doughy, if you prefer a crunchy cookie, leave them in and let them go golden brown.
