How to Make Adorable Halloween Lollipop Ghosts

Halloween Lollipop Ghosts are the perfect addition for Goodie bags, treat bags and trick or treaters. If you are looking for a great Goodie/Treat bag idea, check out my DIY mummy Goodie bags! These lollipop ghosts are incredibly easy to make and always bring smiles! Here’s how I created these spooky Halloween Lollipop Ghosts.

Materials You’ll Need

  • Round Lollipops
  • White tissues or white napkins
  • Red ribbon or yarn
  • Black permanent marker
  • Scissors

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Gather Your Lollipops Start with round lollipops in any flavor. White ones work especially well to maintain the ghostly aesthetic, but any color will do since they’ll be covered.

Step 2: Prepare the Tissue Take a single white tissue or napkin and place it flat on your work surface. If using a full-size tissue, you may want to cut it down to a more manageable size, roughly 6-8 inches square.

Step 3: Wrap the Lollipop Place the lollipop in the center of the tissue, with the stick pointing down. Gather the tissue around the lollipop stick just below the candy, creating the ghost’s “head” at the top and flowing “body” below.

Step 4: Tie with Ribbon Using red ribbon or yarn, tie a secure knot or bow around the gathered tissue just below the lollipop. This creates the ghost’s neck and keeps everything in place. The red ribbon adds a nice pop of color against the white, but any color can work!

Step 5: Add the Face With a black permanent marker, draw simple ghost faces on the tissue covering the lollipop. Classic options include two dots for eyes and an “O” shaped mouth, or get creative with different expressions.

Step 6: Trim if Needed If the tissue is too long or uneven, give it a quick trim with scissors to create a nice flowing ghost shape.
